Worried about which workshop level to choose?
Here’s some sample films showing the typical choreography taught at our Dancing With The stars Weekends. The workshop films show the routine taught for each level.
Please though try not to worry too much about workshop levels, at the end of the day workshop splitting is just a way for us to split all our guests into those that have never danced before, those that have done a little dancing before and those that have done a bit more dancing before – it really is as simple as that.
In each workshop the Strictly Stars will teach a nice piece of choreography which you can hopefully enjoy practicing together, they’ll also talk about style, technique, hold and maybe even floor-craft – above all though they’ll make sure you have a fun hour with them.
No one is judging, or marking for that matter, the lessons will simply progress as planned. Some may pick up that particular dance straight away and others may need a little more practice. Please though don’t worry about holding back the group or worry that people wioll be watching, they’ll be too engrossed in practicing the steps themselves, trust us!
The Strictly Stars, our weekend ‘Stars of the Future’ & the Donahey’s team will always assist wherever we can, BUT remember you are there to enjoy this wonderful opportunity to be taught by the actual Stars of Strictly Come Dancing.
So please don’t worry too much about the workshop level aspect of your break, relax and enjoy – you’ll have a truly fab-u-lous time.
Plus – Donahey’s are poleased to offer exclusively offer you online footage showing all the choreography you have been taught throughout your weekend so you can continue to enjoy & practice the steps learnt. Following your weekend, you’ll be issued a password to login to our members area where you can view all your level workshops.

Absolute Beginners
This group is for those who have never danced before, and will cover all the dances from the very beginning.
Improvers
This group is for those who have danced just a little before, perhaps 4-9 months experience of dance lessons or maybe you did some classes a while back?
Regular Social Dancers
This group should suit those who have danced for over 9-months – 2 years. Perhaps you take weekly dance classes or go out dancing monthly. You’re happy with the basics of getting around the dance-floor.
Experienced Dancers
This group is for those who have danced for a while, perhaps over two years experience on the dance-floor. Perhaps you take regular classes? Please note, our weekends are a sociable dance experience for all and do not suit competitors, high grade medalists. We offer fabulous soc ial dance weekends for all to enjoy. Competitive practice will not be accepted on our dance-floors.
What will you teach?
During the course of our Dancing With The Stars Weekends we’ll offer dance lessons in a nice selection of Ballroom & Latin dances, we may even include a lesson in Argentine Tango.
If you’re thinking of dance lessons or practice beforehand, it may be best to try a general social ballroom class which would cover a majority of the Ballroom & Latin dances, that way you’ll get the most from your weekend both during the 7 lessons offered across the weekend and during the general dancing in the evenings.

The Programme
You will receive your complimentary 16-page souvenir programme upon registration with all the details of what we have to offer you over the weekend. I’m afraid due to production & printing deadlines we are unable to offer programmes in advance of the weekend.
