Such a professional dance class. As complete beginners we booked a 6 week course in January and are still going. Everyone is so welcoming, and patient! Highly recommend if you want to be active and have a regular class with your partner and designated group.
From my first class Paul and his team made me feel at ease and I have gone on to learn so much. These are very professionally run classes that are also great fun

Paul & Vicky & all of the team are very professional & friendly, putting all pupils at ease, whatever level. As absolute beginners we were encouraged every step of the way right from the start & Paul & Vicky are very patient & having to keep repeating steps for us, is never too much trouble. I have waited a many years to go to ballroom & Latin dance lessons with my husband & it was well worth the wait to find the fabulous Donaheys school.
We have been going for lessons for nearly a year. It is a very friendly environment and we are now able to get around the dance floor when we are out. Paul and Vicky are very patient with us when teaching us the dance steps. We look forward to the weekly lessons and the members evenings where we can practice what we have learnt.

We have been saying for years that we would like to learn to dance properly and when the chance came through a friend we decided to give it a go.So pleased we did as we have had a 'ball', brilliant teachers, friendly atmosphere and exercise that's fun.Everyone gets tuition alone the way from the professionals in a positive way encouraging us to enjoy the evening whatever the mistakes ! Mondays cannot come around quick enough, love it. Linda & Colin

I am quite possibly one of the least capable dancers that Paul and Vicky have ever had to endeavour to try and coach at Kingsbridge!...... my general lack of dance coordination, lack of natural dance ability, and lack of rhythm make their task nigh on impossible!.....but they won't keep me away as I love it!! Their patience, instructional skills, excellent communication and ability to control a class are superb whilst still finding the time to assist those like myself who need that little extra guidance. Thank you Paul and Vicky for providing such great dance tuition. And we have met so many lovely people who although are better dancers than me, don't seem to find me too much of a hindrance! I thoroughly recommend Paul Donaheys Ballroom Dance Lessons to everyone - young or older like myself. But I have realised that no one is too old or too useless to give it a go! Thank you so much.

I was really unsure about starting dance classes ... "was it really for me?" ... "I am not into watching Strictly!" - but I was persuaded to give it a try - hey why not try new things? BEST DECISION EVER! YES ... just DO IT! Give it a go!! Signed up for a few lessons and 18 months later I am still learning and improving AND thoroughly enjoying myself - a real highlight of my week. Paul and the teaching team make it so easy to learn the 2 dances each week, breaking down the dances into manageable steps. Paul is incredibly patient, and funny - some great banter for a bloke with short term memory issues and 2 left feet (me not Paul!) The passion and experience for ballroom dancing oozes from his very soul. When he demonstrates a dance it all seems to make sense! I have met some great people at Donaheys - my friends now - and the 1 hour a week is fantastic way to lose yourself in something completely different, physical and joyous. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Come for the dancing ... leave with the laughter and friends 🙂

We started classes just under a year ago. The classes are well structured, friendly and great fun. We attend Plymstock School weekly. It's a great location for us, free parking and the main Hall or the performance centre have a great space to practice. Paul and the team are extremely patient as you learn the dances and ensure that you are well supported when learning the dance routines. Paul also arranges members nights where you can enjoy an evening with the new friends you have made and have the opportunity to practice what you have learnt alongside some fun new dances. Would certainly recommend.

We began as absolute beginners and have progressed so well with Donaheys weekly classes at Plymstock. Paul’s team are always professional, fun, kind and expert teachers. Now we have confident dances in our repertoire. Including waltz, quick step, jive, cha cha, tango, foxtrot and even Argentine Tango and we have made so many wonderful new friends in our classes. Don’t hesitate to join even if you haven’t ballroom danced before, it is great exercise for body and mind and truly enjoyable.

Paul's dance classes are hugely enjoyable and sociable. For us these sessions make an ideal basis of our weekly date night, for others is about the exercise and learning to dance, for others still it's about seeing the friends you make there. Highly recommended!

Paul and his team at Donaheys are great! The dance teaching is a wonderful balance of technique and dancing for the sheer fun and joy of it. I have. been going to Paul's classes several years now and I can honestly say there is never a dull moment, learning lots, and we leave grinning from ear to ear. Thank you Paul and team!

As a 70 year old not very fit man whose previous contribution to dancing was of the Dad variety I have been amazed to enjoy something I am not very good at so much. The hour lesson slips by too quickly and usually involves laughing at my own lack of ability. The teaching team are patient and fun and really do involve even the worst of us. Really nice to get out and do something fun at 70 - beats the tele every week!
We so look forward to dance lessons on a Monday. Paul and his team make the lessons fun, entertaining and have a winning teaching style which makes you feel relaxed, welcomed and unjudged. Take the step and come and join the fun, you certainly won’t be disappointed - Whoosh💃🕺

Paul and the team at Donaheys offer weekly hour-long sessions of group instruction in Latin and Ballroom Dancing from beginner upwards, at several venues around Plymouth. Paul and Vicky are always very clear and encouraging, and demonstrate points of technique as well as the basic steps. Mostly we dance with our own partners, but there are opportunities to pair up if you come alone. I would like the professionals to help us to lead and follow more frequently, as well as encouraging us to copy their moves when they dance solo or in pairs. It is always great fun. The social dances enable us to put what we learn into practice; I hope that more people will get off their couches after Strictly to experience the joy and satisfaction of mastering the moves; and that societies, clubs and wedding venues will revive structured dancing as an enduring alternative to Dad (and Grandma) Dancing at discos. Actually, a sexy rumba can fit quite unobtrusively to pop music on a crowded dance floor... give it a go!

I attend the dance lessons at Kingsbridge Community College (KCC) and would like to say how much I enjoy learning to dance... The staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable with each of the ballroom and Latin dances... The lessons are very well attended, are always fun and any questions you may have are answered with the steps demonstrated so you can fully understand what is required... I definitely recommend learning to dance at KCC...
Really fun classes , Paul and his team are great at teaching the steps. A really fun way to learn to dance.Thank you all at Donaheys. Anne and Roger
